More on the Phenolics and Other Allergens books

Healthcare Uses

Substances presented in these books can all cause untoward symptoms in the human body. One of the most important information categories discussed in these books is sources and exposures. This enables both practitioners and patients to know when and where in their everyday lives they might encounter the substance.  Treatment methods discussed include medical, dental, surgical, pharmaceutical, herbal, homeopathic, and nutritional.  Many different methods can be utilized to test, treat, and prevent symptoms. Some methods offer more treatment possibilities than others.

Extensive comprehensive coverage of body anatomy and physiology, body pathology, and medical, surgical, and dental topics are included. Additional information describes inhalants, sugars, pharmaceutical and illegal recreational drugs, tobacco and alcohol, and cosmetic procedures. Diseases, testing for health status, vaccines, and substances used for nutritional supplementation are also presented.

People have differing backgrounds and understanding of chemistry, ranging from none to extensive. These books are written so that everyone can understand as well as learn some chemistry. A better understanding of chemical structure and action of the compounds presented enable the practitioner and patient to understand their action in the body.

"Most people do not realize the potential for obtaining optimal health. The phenolics books by Krohn and Taylor present the various hidden interactions of chemical substances to the body and brain. These books are very helpful in a practice, and a must for the medical community. - Mala (RN, LAc) and Mohan (LAc) Moosad, Lotus Wellness Center, Orange CA."

"I particularly use the phenolics books when I need to know more about a given chemical. The information given is very comprehensive and informative, and is quick and easy to reference. " - Nathan Cohen, DC, La Jolla and Carnelian Bay, CA

"The phenolic books are very comprehensive and informative. They make good reference books for a practice, and the two new volumes are even more user friendly for patient symptoms. - Cynthia Cortini, DC, Clinix, Centennial, CO."

"The Phenolics series by Dr. Krohn and Frances Taylor have been an indispensible part of my allergy and environmental medicine practice, especially with the use of the NAET for treatment. The level of detail and thoroughness provided have helped both me and my patients identify sources of allergic and toxic exposures, thus aiding in the effectiveness and efficiency of treatment outcomes. I recommend the entire series without reservation, as the research is impeccable and count-on-able...and every update is better than the last. - Ann McCombs, DO, Medical Director/Co-founder, The Center for Optimal Health, Bellevue, WA"

"Knowledge gives practitioners and patients the capacity to make more and larger improvements in the health status of the patient. Phenolics and Other Allergens, Volumes I - IV contain information that will allow both practitioners and patients to have a better understanding of substances that adversely affect health and that can be identified and treated. The contents the majority of the NAET testing and treatment vials are explained in detail in these volumes and can aid both the practitioner and patient. "
- Devi S. Nambudripad, MD, DC, LAc, NAET Pain Clinic, Buena Park, CA.

"I have been using Phenolics and Other Allergens, Volumes I and II on a daily basis for a number of years, and I could not practice NAET nearly as effectively without them. I recently purchased Volumes III and IV and find them to be even more expansive and informative, and the accompanying searchable Acrobat files very helpful. Anyone who does allergy work should purchase these volumes as they are well worth the cost."
- Gary Erkfritz, DC, Advanced Health and Wellness, Thousand Oaks, CA

"I have used Volumes I and II of Phenolics and Other Allergens in my practice for over a decade. They are excellent educational and resource tools and allow clients to see how and where they are exposed to allergens. I recently purchased Volumes III and IV and look forward to using them. Anyone doing allergy work needs all four volumes."

Educational Uses

These books are an asset in curriculum planning for many secondary teachers and college instructors of all levels. Chemistry teachers will value the information on basic elements, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and food chemistry. Topics include elements, compounds, natural and synthetic substances, environmental chemicals, metals, minerals, sugars, and chemicals in personal care products.

Information about biological organisms, including some plants, animals, and microorganisms will be helpful for biology professors. Amino acids, proteins, DNA and RNA, vitamins, minerals, hormones, enzymes, fats and fatty acids, and foods are discussed. For microbiology instructors there are basic facts on various organisms, diseases they cause, and symptoms of the diseases.

In addition to the substances previously listed, family and consumer science personnel will appreciate information on foods, food facts, and chemicals of value in food preparation and processing. The chapter on fabrics will interest those whose concern is clothing and fabric related substances.

Teachers of environmental science will welcome the material on environmental chemicals and events; building and art and craft materials; electricity and electromagnetic devices; foods and herbs; fuels, pesticides, and plastics; and water and weather. Anyone concerned with environmental effects on the planet will find much valuable information.

Persons teaching agriculture, botany, agronomy, etc., will find relationships of plants, animals, microorganisms, fuels, herbs, pesticides, water, weather, and some biological organisms important in their work.

"As a former secondary teacher and college professor who taught the areas of science and also family and consumer science, these books would have been a reference "bible" regularly used to provide "real-world" applications in making presentations to students." - MEH

"These books are multipurpose books, useful to both the medical and teaching worlds. They impart much basic science information valuable to healthcare practitioners, patients, teachers, and students. Well-written and thorough, they are an excellent teaching tool for anyone who owns and reads them." - FAL
